Guided by the dream to achieve World Peace through Education, Kumon instructors and associates alike work towards providing quality instruction to each student in the center and equipping them with the necessary skills to learn the way towards their dreams and goals.

Kumon Instructors

The benefits of the Kumon Method are currently enjoyed by 4.12 million students worldwide and more than 30,000 students in the Philippines because there are men and women who bring the Kumon Method of Learning to their community. Now with over 150 Kumon centers nationwide, including provinces, more and more educators become interested in individualized learning and have set out to develop as many children as possible through the Kumon Method.

A Kumon Instructor has a very challenging yet rewarding job. He/she is both the owner and manager of the Kumon center, making sure that the center is running smoothly and administering proper procedure that students and parents can follow.

At the same time, this person is also the chief instructor of the center. He/she provides quality instruction to the students in his or her center by studying the worksheets and knowing how to guide them in their Kumon study. He/she sets a study plan for each child, encourages the child to set a goal for himself and explains to him how he can best reach it.

The instructor does not teach with a blackboard behind her or a class in front of her. Instead, the instructor guides the student how to learn by himself, helps the child understand the material especially during difficulties and facilitates his goal-setting.

An instructor knows the condition and performance of each student in the center with the help of assistant instructors who are assigned to monitor each task of the students in the center. An instructor also gives Feedback to the child regarding his performance, his goals and how he has measured up to them so far. An instructor helps the student not only master the material for his grade level but also guides him towards advanced study and, eventually, Kumon program completion.

An instructor is warm, friendly, knowledgeable, highly-skilled, and has sincere concern for the child.
